Refund policy

By booking a garment with @dressdhire.au, you agree to the following Return & Refund Policy.

Returns

All hired garments must be returned by 5:00 PM on the final day of your 3-day booking period, unless an alternative return arrangement has been approved by @dressdhire.au in advance.

Garments must be returned:

  • In the original packaging provided
  • In the same condition they were received, allowing for reasonable wear associated with normal hire use
  • Without being washed, dry cleaned, ironed or otherwise treated by the customer
  • Free from any unauthorised alterations

A $20 late fee per day may be charged for garments returned after the agreed return date.

If a garment is not returned, is lost or is stolen while in your possession, you may be required to pay the garment's full Recommended Retail Price (RRP). Any replacement amount requested must be paid within 5 business days of notification.

Refunds

@dressdhire.au does not offer refunds for change of mind, incorrect sizing, fit issues, cancelled events or circumstances outside our control.

Customers are responsible for checking the garment size and suitability before confirming their booking.

Where appropriate, store credit may be offered at the sole discretion of @dressdhire.au. The provision of store credit in one situation does not guarantee that it will be provided in future circumstances.

General wear and tear consistent with a previously hired garment is not considered grounds for a refund or store credit.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or limit any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law where those rights cannot legally be excluded.

Try-On Appointment Fees

Try-on appointments are $10 for 15 minutes.

Try-on fees are non-refundable if you:

  • Cancel your appointment
  • Do not attend
  • Decide not to hire a garment

If you proceed with a hire within 48 hours of your try-on appointment, the $10 fee may be credited toward one booking.

After 48 hours, the credit expires and the full hire amount will apply.

Appointments may be rescheduled where at least 24 hours' notice is provided.

Damaged Garments

Standard dry cleaning is included in the hire price.

Customers must not attempt to wash, dry clean, iron or otherwise clean a hired garment themselves.

If a garment is returned with damage, excessive staining or requires additional treatment beyond normal dry cleaning, the customer may be responsible for reasonable additional cleaning or repair costs.

This may include damage caused by:

  • Tears or holes
  • Fabric pulls
  • Permanent staining
  • Fake tan
  • Safety pins
  • Unauthorised alterations
  • Other damage occurring while the garment is in the customer's possession

If a garment is damaged beyond reasonable repair, @dressdhire.au may require payment of the garment's full RRP, subject to applicable consumer law.

Faulty or Incorrect Items

If you believe you have received an incorrect garment or a garment with a significant fault that was not disclosed before your booking, please contact @dressdhire.au as soon as reasonably possible and before wearing the garment where practical.

We will assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy where required under Australian Consumer Law.

Responsibility During Hire

The customer is responsible for the garment from the time it is collected or received until it has been returned to @dressdhire.au.

Any stains, marks, damage, loss or other issues should be reported as soon as possible.

@dressdhire.au reserves the right to refuse future bookings where a customer has repeatedly failed to return garments on time, caused significant damage, failed to pay applicable charges or otherwise breached the rental terms.
